Game rules:
Welcome to the fascinating world of Spider Solitaire, a strategic card game that requires as much intellectual skill as it does patience. With its roots deep in traditional solitaire, Spider Solitaire offers a fascinating complexity that appeals to players of all skill levels, from novices to seasoned veterans. The game begins with 54 cards stacked in ten columns on the table, with only the top cards face up. The remaining 50 cards are in storage, ready to be drawn into play. Therein lies the challenge – as you try to sort out the cards you see, new cards will appear, forcing you to constantly reevaluate and adjust your strategy.
Your goal is to arrange all the cards in descending order from King to Ace. Any complete sequence of 13 cards of the same suit (K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A) is automatically moved to the foundation. Every move counts in Spider Solitaire. Arrange the cards on the tableau in descending order. You can move a card or a sequence of cards of the same suit from one column to another. You can also fill an empty column with any card or sequence, giving you new options. To deal new cards, click on the stock pile (bottom left). Fill any empty columns first.
There are three modes of Spider Solitaire. You must complete each of them within the allotted time. Depending on your skills, choose one and race against the clock. Use hints if necessary, but be careful because each hint will cost you precious time. Here are the allotted times to complete each mode:
1 suit (10 minutes) – a mode for less advanced players
2 suits (13 minutes) – a mode for players looking for a moderate challenge
4 suits (15 minutes) – a mode for true thrill-seekers that will provide an unforgettable experience.
